Govt automatically extends validity of current mobilization reservations for month due to suspension of state registers

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved Resolution No.1489 on the automatic extension of the current mobilization reservation for one month, but not longer than February 28, 2025, which is due to the temporary suspension of state registers due to a cyberattack, the website of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine said on Tuesday.

It is specified that this applies to reservations valid as of December 19, 2024 and provided in accordance with Resolution No. 76 of January 27, 2023.

"This decision allows conscripts with a valid reservation to keep it without unnecessary procedures. We ensure transparency and convenience in these processes, which is important in wartime," Deputy Minister of Economy Vitaliy Kindrativ said.

As explained by the ministry, the reservation provided by the Ministry of Economy or through the Diia portal is automatically extended for a month, but no later than February 28, 2025.

As for integration into the registers, the Ministry of Defense is obliged to make the appropriate changes to the Unified State Register of Conscripts, Persons Liable for Military Service, and Reservists within five days after the resolution comes into force.

This decision will simplify the procedure for extending reservations, especially for those who work in critical industries or participate in ensuring the economic sustainability of the country.

"The Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Economy continue to cooperate to improve the reservation processes and ensure the efficient operation of enterprises during mobilization," the ministry said.

As reported, on December 19, the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine announced a large-scale failure at the level of the network infrastructure servicing state registries.
