President of Angola accepts Zelenskyy's invitation to visit Ukraine
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a phone conversation with his Angolan counterpart Joao Lourenco during which the Ukrainian head of state invited his interlocutor to visit Ukraine.
"I talked to President of Angola Joao Lourenco. I thanked my counterpart for supporting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. African unity and support are important for the restoration of peace," the President of Ukraine said on the Telegram channel Tuesday.
He also said Ukraine is interested in the development of bilateral relations with Angola in many fields, particularly food security, logistics, agriculture, creation of grain hubs, and humanitarian demining.
Zelenskyy also noted that Ukraine is preparing the appointment of its ambassador to Angola.
"I will be glad to welcome Joao Lourenco in Ukraine. The interlocutor has accepted my invitation. Our teams will work on the opportunity to organize such a visit," he said.
