Orban tells about his talk with Putin: We discussed settlement of war in Ukraine

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban had a telephone conversation with Vladimir Putin on Wednesday, December 11.

"I have had an hour-long phone conversation with President Putin this morning. We are going through the most dangerous weeks of the war. We are using all the diplomatic tools at our disposal to promote a ceasefire and peace," Orban wrote on Facebook.

As reported, on the eve of Orban's meeting at the private residence Mar-a-Lago in Florida with the newly elected President of the United States Donald Trump, his appointed national security adviser Mike Waltz and entrepreneur Elon Musk.

Earlier, Hungarian media reported on Orban's likely visit in December to a new "peace mission" in Ukraine, which is facilitated by a large number of telephone conversations with U.S. President-elect Donald Trump.

On December 2, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto arrived in Moscow for talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, reiterating his position on "peace."
