Defense forces shoot down 52 Russian UAVs, 50 locationally lost
On the night of December 2, the Russian occupiers attacked the territory of Ukraine with 110 Shahed-type attack UAVs and other types of drones, according to the command of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"As of 08:30, the destruction of 52 enemy UAVs was confirmed in Kyiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytsky, Zhytomyr, Sumy, Poltava, Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions. Fifty location drones were lost probably due to the counteraction of the electronic warfare means of the Defense Forces," the message posted on the Telegram channel says.
In addition, six UAVs left the controlled airspace in the direction of Russia and Belarus. Another drone remains in Ukraine's airspace in the air.
The information is being clarified and updated.
The air attack was repelled by anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units and mobile fire groups of the Air and Defense Forces of Ukraine.
