Air defenses shoot down 66 of 100 enemy drones, several strikes recorded
On the night of October 28 (since 19:00 on October 27), the enemy launched 100 Shahed kamikaze drones and drones of unspecified type from the directions of Kursk, Oriol, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Russia, the Ukrainian Air Force has said on Monday morning.
"As of 10:30, the shooting down of 66 enemy drones was confirmed in Sumy, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Poltava, Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Rivne, Khmelnytsky, Ternopil, Mykolaiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, Cherkasy regions. Most of enemy drones were shot down in Kyiv, Cherkasy and Khmelnytsky regions," it said.
In addition, the locations of 24 Russian drones were lost, four flew in the direction of Russia and Belarus. Unfortunately, there were several strikes against civilian infrastructure of Ukraine.
The air attack was repelled by anti-aircraft missile forces, aviation, electronic warfare units and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Air Force and Defense Forces.
