Ten shelters for internally displaced persons (IDPs) have been renovated in Lviv.
“Within the Shelter+ project, with the support of the Austrian Red Cross, we can provide a new roof over the heads of internally displaced persons. Thus, ten shelters have been renovated in Lviv, where 500 people can be accommodated,” the Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) reported on Facebook on Thursday.
The URCS quoted the delegate of the Austrian Red Cross in Ukraine, Vahram Vardanyan: “I have conflicting feelings: I feel pain and happiness at the same time. Pain because people have to come and live in such institutions. And happiness is because I know that we can give them shelter, a second home, hopefully temporary, not permanent. This motivates us, this helps us move forward."
