Representatives of the Austrian and Finnish Red Crosses visited Chernihiv region with a monitoring mission.
As the Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) reported on Facebook, members of the delegation and representatives of the Chernihiv city military administration, the URCS regional organization and the health department of the Chernihiv regional state administration discussed the region's needs for medical care, problems associated with the closure of feldsher-midwife stations in villages, reduction in funding for feldsher stations, and, as a result, the lack of specialists in remote settlements who could provide basic medical services.
The delegation also visited the remote village of Mokri Velychky, where 68 people live who need the work of the URCS mobile teams, since the nearest pharmacy or medical facility is about 20 km away.
