Ukrainian President signs decree on providing humanitarian aid to Czech Republic
Ukraine will provide humanitarian aid to the Czech Republic to overcome the consequences of the flood. The decree on this was signed by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on October 7.
The document does not specify the amount of possible assistance; the Cabinet of Ministers has been tasked with ensuring the provision of humanitarian aid to the Czech Republic.
As reported, in mid-September, heavy rains caused by storm Boris led to flooding in parts of the Czech Republic. In some regions on the border with Poland, the floodwaters even washed away houses. As of September 16, eight people were considered dead due to the elements, and thousands of people were evacuated.
