Ukrainian Red Cross informs Sumy residents of rules of handling with explosive objects
Instructors of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) inform residents of Sumy region about the rules of conduct during shelling and in case of detection of explosive objects.
“In Sumy region, the intensity of shelling has increased significantly, making it one of the most heavily mined areas in Ukraine … In response, instructors from the Sumy regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross are actively educating the public about safe behaviour when encountering explosive ordnance or coming under fire,” URCS said on Facebook Monday.
Particular attention is given to informing children. Information sessions are often held in shelters, as air raid sirens can sound every hour or last for several hours. During these sessions, children learn about the risks associated with mines and other explosive devices, along with a clear protocol for safe actions in case they encounter such objects.
