URCS volunteers helping victims of UAV attack on Kharkiv

Volunteers of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) in Kharkiv region worked at one of the affected locations in Kharkiv due to a massive attack by Russian UAVs on Thursday night.

"Kharkiv. A team from the rapid response unit of the Ukrainian Red Cross in Kharkiv region was working at the site of the hit on a multi-story residential building in one of the city's districts," the URCS reported on Facebook on Friday.

Volunteers, together with other rescue services, took part in search and rescue operations. They went around damaged houses, apartments and adjacent areas to identify victims, provided first aid and handed over the wounded to ambulance crews. In addition, volunteers evacuated residents and provided psychological support to the victims and their families.

Now, in accordance with the collected needs, the team of Kharkiv regional organization of the URCS is preparing to hand over humanitarian aid.

As reported, as of Friday morning, as a result of the attack of enemy UAVs on Kharkiv on Thursday, five people were killed and more than 30 were wounded.
