Three cooperation deals with UK regions signed, same number by year-end expected – official

By the end of the year, it is expected that three more agreements on cooperation and partnership with regions in the UK and Northern Ireland will be signed, in addition to the three already concluded since the beginning of the full-scale war, according to Deputy Head of the Presidential Office, Viktor Mykyta.

"Since the full-scale invasion began, we already have one interregional agreement on cooperation and partnership between Lviv region and Norfolk County, as well as three agreements between cities: Sheffield - Khmelnytsky, Glasgow - Mykolaiv, and Bath - Oleksandria. Through these partnerships, communication has been established in education, healthcare, humanitarian, and social sectors," Mykyta wrote on his Telegram channel on Friday, following an extended meeting involving Ukraine's Ambassador to the UK, Valeriy Zaluzhny, and regional military administration leaders.

According to Mykyta, "by the end of the year, we expect to sign three more cooperation and partnership agreements with our British friends. This cooperation will significantly strengthen the resilience of our regions under martial law and help establish connections with the large Ukrainian community in the UK."
