Zelenskyy: Ukraine controls over 1,300 sq km of Kursk region, over 100 settlements – Zelenskyy
Over 1,300 square kilometers of the territory of Kursk region (Russia) is currently under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said at a meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group, which is taking place at NATO's Ramstein Air Base in Germany on Friday.
"Today we control an area of more than 1,300 square kilometers in Kursk region, and this includes 100 settlements. A significant part of this territory was abandoned by Russian troops. They simply fled when they saw our forces approaching. Of course, a significant part of the territory was taken under control by our forces in the battle," Zelensky said.
