Air defenses destroy all 14 Shahed drones attacking six regions last night

Last night, the Russian occupation forces launched one Iskander cruise missile and 14 drones to attack Ukraine, Commander of the Ukrainian Air Force Mykola Oleschuk has said on Saturday morning, adding that the air defenses destroyed all 14 drones.

"On the night of August 17, 2024, the Russian forces hit Sumy by an Iskander-K cruise missile (it was launched from Voronezh region, Russia) and launched 14 Shahed kamikaze drones from Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Eysk, and Kursk, Russia," he said on the Telegram channel.

According to the commander, 14 enemy drones were shot down by mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian defense forces, aircraft, anti-aircraft rocket units, and electronic warfare means in Mykolaiv, Cherkasy, Poltava, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia, and Kyiv regions.
