Eight children removed from occupied territories of Kherson region
Another eight children aged from six to 17 years old have been removed from the temporarily occupied territories of Kherson region to the Ukrainian government-controlled territory, Head of Kherson Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Prokudin has said on Saturday morning.
"Another eight children have returned from the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson. These are five girls and three boys aged from six to 17 years old," he said on the Telegram channel.
These children have left "all horrors" behind, Prokudin said, adding that "they, together with their parents, are safe now. They are receiving necessary medical and psychological assistance."
He also thanked the Save Ukraine charitable organization for its persistent work to save the children.
"Since the beginning of 2024 alone, as many as 162 children from Kherson region returned to the Ukrainian government-controlled territory," Prokudin said.
