China says 110 countries back its joint with Brazil political settlement plan for Ukraine

Special Representative of the Chinese Government on Eurasian Affairs Li Hui has announced that 110 countries support the "six-point consensus" jointly issued by China and Brazil on promoting a political solution to the "Ukrainian crisis" [this is how China calls Russia's invasion of Ukraine], the Foreign Ministry of China said.

"Li Hui said that the current war between Russia and Ukraine is still going on, and the top priority is to promote the cooling of the situation. The 'six-point consensus' jointly issued by China and Brazil on promoting a political solution to the Ukrainian crisis has received positive responses from more than 110 countries. China is willing to continue to strengthen communication and coordination with Brazil to jointly promote a final political solution to the Ukrainian crisis," it said on August 1.

On July 29, 2024, Li Hui visited Brazil and held meetings and talks with the Brazilian government representatives and exchanged views on the situation in Ukraine.
