One of victims of falling tree in Shevchenko Park in Kyiv dies – police

As a result of the fall of a tree in the metropolitan park named after Taras Shevchenko a man was killed, law enforcement officers began criminal proceedings, the press service of the National Police of Kyiv reports.

"Three more injured citizens are in hospital, one of the injured is in serious condition," the police said.

It is noted that the investigative task force of the police is working at the scene. Law enforcement officers are establishing all incidents.

"According to this fact, the investigative department of the Shevchenkivske Police Department has launched criminal proceedings under Article 367 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – official negligence," the police added.
