European Commission to present draft negotiating framework for Ukraine's accession to EU next week – Dombrovskis
Executive Vice-President of the European Commission Valdis Dombrovskis announced the presentation by the European Commission of a draft negotiating framework for Ukraine's accession to the EU next week.
At a joint briefing with Prime Minister Denyn Shmyhal in Kyiv on Friday, Dombrovskis said the European Commission has started preparations for the negotiation process on Ukraine's accession to the EU. Next week the commission will present a draft negotiating framework for consideration by EU member states, he said.
Dombrovskis said they would like all countries to approve this document after the additional four points of "homework" are completed on Ukraine's part, and the countries note the progress in the reforms that Ukraine is making on the path to membership.
