Czech RegioJet makes test train trip on Košice-Chop route

The Czech railway operator RegioJet on Tuesday carried out a test trip on the route Košice (Slovakia) - Chop (Ukraine), photos of the company's train at the Chop station appeared on railway forums.

An Interfax-Ukraine source in the company confirmed that a test trip of a RegioJet train on the Košice-Chop route took place on Tuesday.

"It was successful. As a result, all the necessary parameters were confirmed," the source said.

Earlier, Board Chairman of Ukrzaliznytsia Yevhen Liaschenko said that Ukrzaliznytsia had signed a contract with the Czech railway operator RegioJet, which will begin operating trips on the Chop-Prague route in March.
