Fuel prices in Ukraine may rise to UAH 2/l in next two weeks – director of A-95

Fuel prices in Ukraine in the next two to three weeks may rise to 2 UAH per liter due to rising oil prices on the world market.

"I think that if the situation in the world does not change, then the price may increase to 2 UAH per liter within two to three weeks," Serhy Kuyun, director of the consulting company A-95, said on the air of the national telethon United News on Thursday.

According to him, over the past two weeks, the Ukrainian domestic market has seen a systematic slight increase in fuel prices in economy segment networks.

"The market is starting to react. We buy everything imported, at world prices, and accordingly, the purchase price has begun to increase. And we see that for a couple of weeks now, chains from the economy segment, from the minimum price range, have begun to slowly raise prices," the expert said.

At the same time, he added that he sees no prerequisites for a sharp, significant increase in prices.

According to the consulting group A-950, as of February 15, 2024, the retail price for A-95 averages UAH 51.02 /l, which is UAH 0.28 higher than on February 1 (UAH 50.74/l). Accordingly, the price of diesel fuel is UAH 51.23/l, which is UAH 0.41 higher than the price on February 1 (UAH 50.82/l).

In turn, the price of liquefied gas is UAH 26.70/l, which is UAH 0.67 lower than the price parameter on the first day of the month (UAH 27.37/l).
