Groysman orders massive recalculation, increase of pensions from March 1, 2019
Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman has instructed the newly appointed head of the Pension Fund Yevhen Kapinos to raise pensions for military personnel from March 1, 2019, as well as to conduct a massive automatic recalculation of pensions to other categories of pensioners, the government portal website has reported.
"You need to conduct an audit of the fund in the near future and ensure the stable operation of the pension system. Two major tasks: the pension fund should be prepared to increase pensions for military retirees once more from January 1, 2019. You should also be ready to carry out the first in the history of Ukraine mass recalculation of pensions of all other categories of pensioners from March 1, 2019. This is a great job, but you have four months," Groysman said.
At the same time, the head of government stressed that the strategic task of the Pension Fund for the de-taxation of wages remains.
