PrivatBank starts internal investigation into bank secret leaks

PrivatBank has started an internal investigation into the leakage of bank secrecy, the bank has said in a press release.

"We want an understanding of the need to conduct this complicated work in the bank and avoid public manipulation using unreliable information regarding the investigation process, both in statements by politicians and public figures with the involvement of journalists. The global policy regarding bank secrecy is changing: there can be no secrets about fraudulent actions, representing a threat to public and state interests," the bank said.

According to the press service of the bank, the facts of leakage and disclosure of banking secrets both at the bank itself and those who contributed to its promulgation will be properly investigated and evaluated. Now the appropriate official internal investigation is under way.
