Eight TV channels set up Ukrainian Television Association
Ukrainian television channels 112 Ukraine, Priamy, Sonce, NewsOne, XSport, Espresso TV, EU:Music and ATR have created the Ukrainian Television Association to ensure market self-regulation, according to Espresso TV's website.
"We believe that transparent and understandable rules on the television market will help promote confidence among participants and develop the market. We will invite to cooperation our colleagues from other TV channels, providers, experts, and representatives of the authorities to discuss and find solutions that will help all players on the television market develop and compete," the association said.
In the near future the association will also include UA:First and other TV channels, which need more time to enter the association.
Mykola Typusiak (Espresso TV) was elected the association's board chairman. Viktoria Borschenko (UA:First) and Oleр Shostal (112 Ukraine) also joined the board.
The key areas in the work of the Ukrainian Television Association are television measurements, advertising sales and distribution market.
