Semerak's salary in 2017 totals almost UAH 520,000

Ukrainian Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Ostap Semerak received UAH 519,357 in salary in 2017, according to the ministry's response to a request from Interfax-Ukraine.

The amount includes the fixed salary worth UAH 172,360; bonuses for the duration of service (UAH 86,180) and intensity of work (UAH 172,360, which is a 100% salary rate); surcharges for access to state secrets (UAH 34,472), vacation allowance (UAH 53,346), and adjustment to the inflation rate (UAH 639.52).

The official forex rate of the National Bank of Ukraine as of January 10 is UAH 28.2 UAH per U.S. dollar.
