Decision to remove Ukraine from Kyoto protocol has not been made
Ukrainian Ecology and Natural Resources Minister Ostap Semerak has said that there is no decision to remove Ukraine from the Kyoto protocol.
"The decision has not been made… on June 21 experts in Bonn recommended not to take into consideration Ukraine's reports [on the implementation of the Kyoto protocol]," the minister told Interfax-Ukraine on Thursday.
He said that in August 2015 the Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry of Ukraine refused to cooperate with the administrator of the national electronic register of anthropogenic emission and greenhouse gas absorption. Information how Ukraine implements the Kyoto protocol did not arrive to the central register.
