DTEK TPPs could save up to 1.7 mln tonnes of coal every year thanks to energy efficiency
Thanks to the introduction of energy efficient technologies at all thermal power plants (TPPs) of DTEK up to 1.7 million tonnes of coal every year could be saved, the company's press service has reported.
"If energy efficiency of all our TPPs is increased by 10% we would be able to save up to 1.7 million tonnes of coal a year. This is comparable with the amount of burnt coal by all DTEK TPPs in October," the press service said, citing Director for Generation at DTEK Energo Serhiy Kurylenko.
DTEK said that looking at the example of the projects completed by DTEK ESCO it is seen that it is possible to reach this amount of saving.
Today, the first stage of the introduction of the energy management system was finished at DTEK TPPs – external audit.
