Some 18 coalmines produced anthracite in uncontrolled areas of Donetsk region are flooded – official
A total of 18 coalmines have been flooded in the temporarily occupied areas of Donetsk region, Deputy Minister for Temporary Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons Heorhiy Tuka has said.
"Some 18 coalmines in Donetsk region have been flooded and 12 more are being flooded. They all produced anthracite. It is impossible to resume their operations, as it should be invested more than it would be received from these coalmines," he said at a press conference in Kyiv on Tuesday.
Tuka called on politicians not to speculate with the issue of separating Donbas from Ukraine due to high expense on its reintegration.
