Government has questions for Naftogaz managers about promised reforms - Kistion
Ukraine's government has questions for managers of the national joint stock company Naftogaz Ukraine about fulfillment of the company's obligations under the reform plan, Deputy Prime Minister Volodymyr Kistion said during an interview with the Kyiv-based Interfax-Ukraine news agency.
"I can say government completed practically all the tasks assigned to it [reform plan]. But as for Naftogaz's responsibilities, there are questions. As a minimum, four tasks have not been completed. The most important one, in my opinion, is internal control certification, which should be in line with the best European practice. I think this is one of the unfulfilled tasks," he said.
Kistion said the only remaining thing left to do by government is to introduce changes to Naftogaz's charter after Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada adopts the law, titled "On improving the system of corporate governance."
