Energy ministry approves scheme without increased gas prices
Ukraine's Energy and Coal Industry Ministry did not see grounds for increasing prices of electricity and it has designed a scheme foreseeing no increase in the prices of gas, Minister Ihor Nasalyk has said.
"If you speak about the further growth of electricity, I do not see the grounds to increase the price of electricity in the balance sheet we will present to the NCER [the National Commission for Energy, Housing and Utilities Services Regulation]. We see grounds to decrease it," Nasalyk said on UA: Pershy TV channel on Sunday.
The minister said that it is also not planned to increase prices of gas.
"The ministry has drawn up a scheme which does not envisage the increase in the price of gas," he said, adding that the proposal is being discussed by the governmental committee.
