Govt proposes to increase excise duty, deposit use royalties in 2018
Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers would propose to the Verkhovna Rada to increase the excise duty, deposit use royalties and environmental tax.
An Interfax-Ukraine correspondent has reported that the initiative is outlined in the bill amending the Tax Code of Ukraine regarding the revision of some tax rates approved by the government on Wednesday without discussion.
According to the bill, the government proposes to increase the excise duty for alcohol and tobacco by 11.2% from January 1, 2018.
Royalties for the use of deposits in the purposes not linked to extraction of mineral, the royalty for the use of water and the royalty for the use of forests could be increased by 16.8%.
