Austria to assign EUR 1 mln to ICRC for demining in Donbas – Kurz
The Austrian government has decided to allocate EUR 1 million for humanitarian mine sweeping projects in Donetsk and Lugansk regions, Austrian Foreign Minister, OSCE Chairman-in-Office Sebastian Kurz has said.
"I am pleased with today's decision of the Council of Ministers aimed at providing a total of EUR 1 million for ICRC's demining in Ukraine's east," Kurz wrote on Twitter on Wednesday.
He noted that half of the funds will be allocated by Austria's Foreign Disaster Fund and another half by the Austrian Development Agency (ADA).
OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Austrian Foreign Minister Kurtz is on a working visit to Kyiv on June 7-8. Later on June 7, Kurtz is scheduled to meet with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin.
