Ukraine suffers a lack of gas coal, Minister of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine Ihor Nasalyk has said on the air of Channel 112.
"At present we do not have enough own coal of the gas group to provide the base. The question is why? Because we maximally loaded the thermal units with gas coal we extract and which we can take in Poland," he said.
As reported, Ukraine exports electricity by burning gas group coal. Electricity exports in January 2017 amounted to 561 million kWh, which is 62.8% (216 million kWh) more than in January 2016.
