Energy ministry predicts rise in NPPs' share of total power generation to 65% late Oct
Ukrainian Energy and Coal Industry Minister Ihor Nasalyk predicts that the nuclear power plants (NPPs) share of total power generation in Ukrainian power grid would grow from current 60% to 65% at the end of October.
"We have brought the share of nuclear power generation from 47% in May to 60% today, and in a week contribution of nuclear power will be 65%," he said on 112 Ukraine TV channel late on Sunday.
The minister said that last week coal deliveries to warehouses of thermal power plants (TPPs) continued and as of October 16, 2016 coal stocks totaled 1.836 million tonnes.
