Economy ministry suspends decision to change subordination of Ukrtransgaz
Ukraine's Economic Development and Trade Ministry has suspended its decision to subordinate public joint-stock company Ukrtransgaz and take it from national joint-stock company Naftogaz Ukrainy, First Deputy Prime Minister and Economic Development and Trade Minister Stepan Kubiv said at a coordination meeting on Monday.
"Actually this decision is right… I am ready to recognize that we did not hold proper consultations when we made this decision – this is technical moment and political to some extent. I suspended the decision as minister. Today a meeting with the participation of all interested parities will be held with the prime minister. We will discuss our actions… I want to stress that we will create independent management at Naftogaz and other companies linked to production and transportation of gas," he said.
Kubiv added that the decision to subordinate Ukrtransgaz to the ministry is linked to the necessity of dividing Naftogaz Ukrainy and settling its payments with Ukrtransgaz.
