Volume of trade in goods between Ukraine and China 21% up in eight months - Kubiv
Bilateral trade in goods between Ukraine and China in January-August 2018 increased by 21% compared to the same period in 2017, to $5.8 billion, First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economic Development and Trade Stepan Kubiv has reported.
"China is a strategically important partner for Ukraine, our trade volume is constantly growing. During the eight months of 2018, the Ukrainian-Chinese bilateral trade in goods grew by 21%, to about $5.8 billion," Kubiv said on Facebook.
At the same time, he noted that in the perspective of five years, Ukraine and China plan to increase this figure to $10 billion.
"To do this, we will continue realizing the Ukraine-China action plan to implement the initiative of the Great Silk Road and the maritime Silk Road of the 21st century," he said.
The Ukrainian delegation headed by Kubiv is in the People's Republic of China on a working visit on November 5-8 to participate in the China International Import Exhibition 2018.
