A case of African swine fever (ASF) was recorded on July 25 at a private household in Savran (Odesa region).
The press service of the State Service for Food Safety and Consumers' Rights Protection of Ukraine reported on Wednesday that the examination of the selected samples of biological material diagnosed ASF on July 26.
According to preliminary reports, private households in Savran breed around 2,000 pigs.
Measures are being taken to localize the disease on the site of the outbreak and prevent the spread of ASF pathogens.
Since early 2016, three ASF cases have been recorded in Odesa region.
