African swine fever case recorded in Cherkasy region
An outbreak of African swine fever (ASF) was recorded at the Dzherelo-H farm in Cherkasy region.
The press service of the State Service for Food Safety and Consumers' Rights Protection of Ukraine reported on Wednesday that five six-month pigs died.
The examination of the selected samples of biological material diagnosed ASF.
As of July 5, 2016, the farm had 527 pigs.
Measures are being taken to localize the disease on the site of the outbreak and prevent the spread of ASF pathogens.
Since early 2016, 13 ASF cases have been recorded in Ukraine.
