Ukraine's Prime Minister: Revenue of local budgets grows by 46% in five months
Ukraine's local budgets in January-May 2016 posted UAH 54 billion in revenue, which was 46%, or UAH 17 billion, up on the same period last year, Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman said.
"There are funds at the level of regions, districts, communities which [should be] channeled into measures to improve people's life and infrastructure," he said at a Cabinet meeting on Wednesday.
Groysman called on the local government to contribute to creating new jobs, raising salaries and wages "so that people could feel those improvements."
