Pensions and wages to start growing on May 1 – Yatseniuk
Ukraine will begin raising pensions and salaries on May 1 this year, Ukraine's Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk has said.
"We will begin the first phase to increase social standards by 6% already on May 1. Overall, this year we plan to increase social standards by 12%," Yatseniuk stated.
He made these comments on air of the "10 Minutes with the Prime Minister" program on Sunday night.
The relevant ministries already received instructions to prepare documents for the allocation of pension payments and salaries by May 1, Yatseniuk said.
