Ukraine Foreign Ministry trying to find out whether Ukrainians were on board crashed aircraft
The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry is verifying whether the citizens of Ukraine were on board the Russian plane that crashed.
"The Ukrainian Embassy in Egypt is checking whether Ukrainian citizens were on board the crashed plane," the ministry's press service wrote on Twitter.
European mass media reported on Saturday that rescuers in Egypt have arrived in the crash site of the Russian aircraft in the Sinai Peninsula and started work. The reports state the plane is completely destroyed and the majority of people being on board are probably killed.
