Odesa port-side plant to be privatized only after law on privatization is amended - Yatseniuk
Odesa port-side chemical plant will only be privatized after changes are made to the law on privatization and the procedure of state property evaluation.
"I've made a decision: a 5% stake in Odesa port-side plant won't be sold until the law on privatization and the order of state property evaluation are changed," Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatseniuk said at a press conference with U.S. Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker in Kyiv.
He added that a 5% stake in the plant being sold on the stock exchange could mean that the package could be bought by a Ukrainian oligarch, meaning that no foreign investors would participate in the privatization of the enterprise.
