Yatseniuk proposes giving half of excess receipts from Odesa customs to Odesa region
Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk has proposed conducting an experiment by giving half of the excess receipts resulting from the operation of Odesa regional customs to Odesa region.
"The government has a proposal: we have planned receipts from Odesa regional customs. All that is above the plan to divide it 50 to 50. Some 50% - to the national budget, 50% - to Odesa," Yatseniuk said at a meeting at the State Fiscal Service.
Yatseniuk said he had recently held talks with Chairman of Odesa Regional State Administration Mikheil Saakashvili and the regional authorities will spend extra revenue on the construction of the Odesa-Reni road.
