PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), part of the Big Four audit firms, will audit the financial report of Antonov State Enterprise (Kyiv) for 2014, the press service of the company reported on Monday.
The press service said that the agreement was signed with the international auditor to conduct an independent audit of the financial report for 2014 and analyze the company’s management system, adding that PwC was selected at a tender.
"The independent study of the state of affairs and the assessment of efficiency of use of material, labor, financial and other resources of Antonov State Enterprise by a Big Four company is required due to statements of the head of the State Financial Inspectorate Mykola Hordiyenko, who was suspended from his post, on the alleged abuse of powers at Antonov State Enterprise," reads the report.
Antonov is the leading Ukrainian developer and manufacturer of aircraft and is recognized as the world's leader in the niche market of transport aircraft for wide purposes. The company works with 76 countries.
