Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk has said he is against creating free economic zones.
The key principle for the economy is fair and transparent conditions for all, Yatseniuk said while speaking at the third Kyiv Youth Security Forum, an Interfax-Ukraine correspondent has reported.
Yatseniuk said that free economic zones had previously existed in Ukraine, "but they had no positive effect on the economy as they became centers of corrupt practices."
In January, the government said it was willing to grant the Donetsk and Luhansk regions free economic zone status.
