Ukraine to announce foreign debt restructuring parameters on March 13 - Jaresko
Ukraine's Ministry of Finance on Friday, March 13 in Kyiv, will hold its first consultations with creditors on the planned debt restructuring at which it will announce its parameters, Finance Minister Natalie Jaresko has said.
"We will announce the restructuring parameters with our lenders tomorrow for the first time," she said at a press conference in Kyiv.
Jaresko said that the main objective is to reduce the pressure on budget payments by $15 billion within four years.
"This can be done with a variety of goods, different products," she said.
She added that the EFF program with the IMF for $17.5 billion, approved this week, would be presented during the first consultation.
Jaresko also said that she would start direct negotiations with foreign creditors afterwards.
