Ukraine reaches agreements with bondholders committee on restructuring – PM
Ukraine has reached a principal agreement with the Bondholders Committee on restructuring, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal has reported.
"We are restoring debt sustainability. Today, we reached a principal agreement with the Committee of holders of Ukraine's eurobonds. This is an important stage in the debt restructuring process, which will save $11.4 billion on servicing the debt over the next three years and $22.75 billion by 2033," Shmyhal wrote on his Telegram channel.
According to him, this will allow Ukraine to free up funds for urgent needs: defense, social protection, and recovery.
