ZTR delivers transformers for four substations to Argentina
Public joint-stock company Zaporizhtransformator (ZTR), a large global manufacturer of transformer equipment, has delivered four 300 MVA 500 kV transformers to the Argentinean port of Zarate within the agreed deadline, ZTR said in a press release on Thursday.
The transformers will be supplied to the El Bracho, Henderson, Rosario Oeste and Colonia Elia substations.
Argentina's leading transmitting company Transener S.A. and interstate Argentinean-Uruguayan energy company CTM Salto Grande bought the equipment.
The transformers were bought under a state investment energy program on improving the Argentinean energy sector. The total cost of the program is ARS 900 million.
ZTR's rivals in the tender were ABB (Brazil), Siemens (Brazil) and Hyosung (South Korea).
ZTR, part of Energy Standard Group belonging to businessman Konstantin Grigorishin, supplies goods to 86 countries. It produces power oil transformers, power reactors, and controlled shunt reactors.
