Energy ministry approves list of power generating facilities in ATO zone, will halt payments
The Energy and Coal Industry Ministry of Ukraine has approved a list of power generating facilities which are located in territory temporarily uncontrolled by the Ukrainian authorities, and payments to these facilities will be halted.
The list of the facilities was approved in order No. 100 of February 18 signed by Energy and Coal Industry Minister Volodymyr Demchyshyn. It has been posted on the ministry's website.
Starobesheve thermal power plant (TPP) owned by public joint-stock company Donbasenergo, Zuyivska TPP owned by DTEK Skhidenergo, Zuyivska experimental combined heat and power plant (CHPP), Donetsk Steel Works power units, Yasynivsky coke chemical plant, Alchevsk coke chemical plant, Horlivka coke chemical plant, Makiyivka Steel Works, Alchevsk Steel Works, Yenakiyeve Steel Works and a cogeneration unit of Makiyivkoks are located in militant controlled territory.
The list also includes TPP power units belonged to OJSC Silur, Concern Stirol, Cargill's factory and Ukrsplav.
Four wind power plants are also located in militant controlled territory – Lutuhyne, Krasnodon, Novoazovsk and Vitroenergoprom.
