Illegal actions of armed men cause turning off of Kyivstar equipment in eastern regions
The reason for the part–time work of the equipment of Kyivstar mobile communications operator in Donetsk was the illegal actions of armed men, who on Wednesday, February 4, came into the technical center of the Kyivstar office in Donetsk.
"As a result of their actions, we recorded the damage and de-energizing of the equipment in the particular sections of Donetsk and Luhansk regions," the operator press service told Interfax-Ukraine.
Having fixed the incident, the operator decided to turn off the mobile network segment on that part of Donetsk and Luhansk regions to make findings.
"We tried to gain access to the room, which was controlled by the armed men. At the same time, we will make every effort to restore connection and ensure the integrity of the network," the press service said.
As reported, Kyivstar on February 4 turned off communications in certain districts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions in connection with the part-time work of the network that arose for unknown reasons.
