Gazprom chief Miller, Ukraine's deputy PM discuss gas payments in Moscow
Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller and Ukraine's Acting Deputy Prime Minister Yuriy Boiko have discussed payments for the current natural gas supplies, as well as the mechanisms used by Ukraine to pay off its debt for the Russian natural gas supplied in 2013.
The meeting was held in Moscow on February 3, Boiko's press office said.
The parties also discussed heating in the cold season and smooth gas transit to Europe.
To date, Ukraine owes Russia $3.35 billion for its gas, according to the Vedomosti newspaper. In particular, for the gas consumed in January 2014 Ukraine must pay $650 million, the January shipments must be paid before February 7.
