Yanukovych: Ukraine ready to increase Russian gas purchases if price is acceptable
Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has said that Kyiv is ready to buy more Russian gas if its price is acceptable to the country.
"As for the amount of consumption: if there is a gas price that suits us, we are interested in consuming more Russian gas than other gas that is more expensive. That is, we'll consume gas that is cheaper," he told reporters on Thursday, when asked whether the amount of gas consumption was changed after the agreements reached in Moscow on December 17.
